SFU Number Theory Study Group

This study group is organized by the faculties, postdoctorals and graduate students in the Number Theory Group at Simon Fraser University.

Various topics in each semester will be chosen according to our current interests in number theory. For instance, we studied Newman’s

book on analytic number theory last semester. This semester we will concentrate on the Riemann Zeta Functions.

2:30-4:00, Friday, March 8, 2002, Peter Borwein, Introduction and Functional Equations.

2:30-4:00, Friday, March 15, 2002, Stephen Choi, Zeros of Riemann Zeta Function.

2:30-4:00, Friday, March 22, 2002, Will Galway, Computational Tests of the Riemann Hypothesis.

2:30-4:00, Friday, April 5, 2002, Imin Chen, Zeta Functions over Function Fields.

All the lectures are held in K9509, SFU. Contact Stephen Choi if you need further information.
