Abstract:

We have experimented with using Kaltofen and Yang's sparse rational function interpolation algorithm to compute the rational function solutions of n by n linear systems in m parameters.

We have implemented the algorithm in Maple with some subroutines coded in C for greater efficiency. Our talk describes the algorithm, our implementation, the efficiency of Maple's foreign function interface, and it compares this approach with Lipson's fraction-free algorithm.
