Code of Conduct
The Centre of Experimental and Computational Mathematics aims to offer a welcoming and respectful environment that fosters scientific work and inquiry.
We ask members to be mindful, respectful, and considerate to their fellow members.
Simon Fraser University has policies governing how students, faculty, and other members of the community should coduct themselves in order to ensure a welcoming and respectful environment to all community members. Members of the SFU community should ensure they are aware of and familiar with those policies. The relevant policies are

Resources for help and support
The CECM, the Department of Mathematics, and the University are responsible for ensuring a safe work environment. It is good to familiarize yourself with the resources available so that you have an idea where to turn to if you end up in a situation where you need help.- In case of an emergency where you or someone else is in danger, CALL 911. If you call from a campus phone, Campus Security will be automatically notified of the call location.

- Non-emergency line for Campus Security (for security or Safe Walk) is 778.782.7991
- The Safe Walk program is here to ensure that you can navigate campus safely, whether it is day or night. You can request a safe walk through the non-emergeny Campus Security number 778.782.7991 or through the SFU Safe App.
- SFU Central for Community Supports provides a guide for the resources available, organized by need.
- The Department of Mathematics Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Advisory Group is interested in hearing from you about and department equity, diversity, and inclusion concerns and/or ideas.
- The Faculty of Science provides a Chart detailing Disclosure and Reporting Pathways for when you experience or witness an incident or receive a disclosure about an incident that may involve Bullying and Harassment, Sexual Harassment or Violence, or a Human rights violation.
